Sandoz Inc. recalls Losartan Potassium, Ezetimibe

Sandoz Inc. is voluntarily recalling two medications that treat cholesterol and high blood pressure because the bottles they were packaged in failed to meet child-resistant closure requirements.

The drugs impacted by the recalls are Losartan Potassium and Ezetimibe. The Losartan Potassium medications were shipped in dosages of 50mg tablets, and the Ezetimibe was shipped in dosages of 10mg tablets.

The bottles are white, and the caps are also white.

The drug manufacturer stresses that the medications are safe to use. Patients should keep taking their prescriptions as directed by their doctors.

Sandoz urges patients to secure all medications and keep them out of sight of children. A free replacement cap can be obtained by calling 1-800-525-8747, option #.
